Solution Architect

Job Purpose:

The Solution Architect (SA) is responsible for the design and delivery of new Rivet Software client engagements. The majority of these engagements are based on the Rivet Crossfire and Rivet Controller product lines. The SA is responsible for architecture, design, implementation, training and report creation. These consulting services include implementing and training customers on various Crossfire and Controller features and options including; Internal and External Reporting, Document Management, and Analytics. The consultant has primary responsibility for maintaining customer satisfaction related to consulting engagements.

Duties:

  • Collaborates with Program Manager, Account Manager and client to develop engagement implementation roadmaps and project plans
  • Leads the technical design and implementation aspect of the engagement
  • Delivers training on Controller product(s) at client-site and remotely
  • Creates financial reports and delivers immediate value to implementation clients
  • Implements data connectors
  • Ensures initial customer satisfaction with Rivet products and consulting services
  • Contributes content from field experiences to the Rivet Knowledge Base
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of Rivet products
  • Works with Rivet QA and development teams to capture and prioritize product enhancements and defects
  • Up-sell additional consulting work to new and existing clients
  • Reports to the Director of Professional Services

Skills and Qualifications:

  • College degree preferably in business administration, computer science or other technology related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years experience software and services engagement implementation experience
  • 5+ years experience supporting software technology solutions
  • ERP or Financial Reporting Experience
  • Corporate Performance Management Experience
  • Classroom Training Delivery Experience
  • Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Working knowledge of XBRL taxonomies and tagging processes
  • *Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial reporting products is required
  • Excellent customer service mentality and approach
  • Project and resource planning experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workloads and work under time constraints
  • Must be well organized, able to plan and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel on a regular basis
  • Ability to set customer expectations and deliver value
  • Requires a strong knowledge of Crossfire applications
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft products (i.e. Access, MS SQL Server, Excel, Word, etc…)
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and build new skills – specifically;
    • XBRL
    • Controller Document Management
    • Data Connector and Internal Crossfire Reporting
    • Uploading to repository and taxonomy creation

Competencies:

Other Skills:

  • 5+ years experience supporting and consulting customers on product usage
  • Familiarity with XML (Extensible Markup Language) and XBRL (Extensible Business Reporting Language)
